Dorota Włoch (Eneris Surowce) awarded the prestigious Wektor 2024 prize
During the ceremonial Wektor 2024 Gala, organized by the Employers of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw (PL), Dorota Włoch, President of the Management Board of Eneris Surowce, was honored with the prestigious Wektor award. This exceptional distinction is awarded to individuals and companies whose achievements make a significant contribution to the development of the Polish economy.
Dorota Włoch was recognized for her commitment to developing modern solutions in waste management and actions that genuinely improve the quality of life for residents of cities and municipalities in Poland.
“Our goal has always been not only to manage waste but also to create infrastructure and systems that support local governments in striving for more conscious resource management. Every step we take is a step towards a better future – for the environment and for people.” said Dorota Włoch during the gala.
The Wektor 2024 award coincided with the 10th anniversary of Eneris Surowce’s operations in Poland. Over this decade, the company has made investments worth 800 million PLN, quadrupled its turnover, and improved its EBITDA tenfold. Eneris has also tripled its employment and introduced a range of modern technologies that support efficient resource management.
Artur Dela, founder and CEO of Eneris, spoke about the award: “Eneris is a bold project that from the beginning aimed to change the way we think about the environment and responsibility in the economy. The award for Dorota Włoch is a recognition of her commitment, determination, and bold decisions. It is also an award for the team that has been working for a decade to realize the vision of a future where every waste becomes a resource, and innovation and sustainable development go hand in hand.
We have more actions ahead that will contribute to the circular transition (circular economy, energy transition) in Europe,” emphasized Artur Dela.
A special Super Wektor award was given to Jerzy Buzek, Polish Prime Minister 1997-2001 and President of the European Parliament 2009-2012. Among the laureates of the Wektor 2024 were also leaders from other sectors, such as modern technologies, medicine, and logistics.
The Wektor awards, presented since 2002, are among the most esteemed prizes in the Polish business community. The laureates are chosen by a committee composed of authorities from the world of business, science, and non-governmental organizations. This year’s gala had a special character as it inaugurated the jubilee year of the 35th anniversary of the Employers of the Republic of Poland.
