#iMPact 2024 on carbon footprint

During the discussion “Carbon Footprint Analytics for Events: How to Practically Estimate the ‘Carbon Budget’ of Events and Their Environmental Impact,” Eneris was represented by Jolanta Rogalska – a sustainability expert.

Jolanta Rogalska summarized Eneris’s actions.

Where we are:

  • We calculated the carbon footprint for Scope 1 and 2 for 2023.
  • We are preparing for reporting for 2024 and calculating the footprint for Scope 3.
  • At this stage, education is very important.
  • We are receiving more and more inquiries about emissions from our contractors. We see how important cooperation within the supply chain will be, and that Scope 3 arouses the most emotions and uncertainties.

Panelists also touched on the very important issue of “sustainable events”. How to think about organizing an event to reduce its environmental impact? How to choose suppliers to ensure the best solutions? Which aspects to consider already at the planning stage: waste, energy, transport.

Calculating the carbon footprint and maintaining accountability for the data and its availability to stakeholders are hallmarks of a responsible company. At Eneris, this commitment is deeply embedded in our mission to ensure clean earth, water, and air. By prioritizing transparency and collaboration, we strive to lead the way in sustainable practices and foster trust and cooperation across our supply chain.
