The answer to the global problem of increasing consumption, waste of raw materials and increasing environmental pollution is the circular economy. “Waste” has huge untapped secondary raw material potential. We invest in systemic solutions, that allow companies and communities to move toward a model of a closed-loop economy. This is the reason why resources in the Eneris Group are invested in modern waste processing facilities, enabling efficient and innovative material and energy recovery.

The first step to effective recycling: correct segregation at the source, in homes, offices and businesses. Proper segregation results in cleaner material that is suitable for later recycling.

Eneris conducts about 130 educational campaigns annually, showing what proper segregation and waste management is all about.

Step two: selective collection and management of municipal and industrial waste, optimized fleet & logistics.

Eneris fleet includes a total of more than 500 specialized vehicles: dustless vehicles, hooklifts, box trucks, gantry trucks, self-loading tankers, plow trucks, sweepers. Constantly replacing the fleet with EURO 6 vehicles, reducing emissions. The next step: the large-scale use of alternative-propulsion vehicles (CNG, electric vehicles, hydrogen).

Collection

The primary goal of all Eneris activities: to increase levels of recovery of raw materials from municipal and industrial waste. In our facilities, we recover valuable resources: metal, plastic, glass and paper and, where collected waste that cannot be further recycled due to its low material value, we produce RDF, a re-fuel for cement plants, power plants and thermal power plants.

Improper handling of waste batteries and accumulators is an environmental hazard. Instead, their effective recycling is a source of valuable raw materials. That’s why we have invested in state-of-the-art battery and accumulator recycling plants. Eneris is one of the leading battery recyclers in Europe: sorting batteries and accumulators and recycling zinc batteries, recovering metals such as brass, zinc and steel.

Eneris also operates Europe’s largest functioning lithium-ion battery recycling plant. Mechanical processing allows us to recover valuable Li-Ni-Co (black mass) compounds, as well as copper, aluminum, ferrous metals and polymers. Recycling batteries allows us to bring valuable raw materials back to the market.
